The Extreme Edition is the long-travel, off-road-focused version of the Ténéré 700, with taller fully adjustable KYB suspension, a high front fender and a flat one-piece rally seat. Titanium footpegs and an Akrapovič slip-on silencer are fitted, and it was offered in Icon Blue and Tech Kamo. The result is a taller, more capable machine than the standard bike.
